"HOPG" is a high-purity, highly oriented pyrolytic graphite that possesses excellent X-ray and neutron diffraction capabilities. In X-ray diffraction, it shows about 3 to 5 times the performance of conventional crystals, and a single-bent focusing monochromator demonstrates about 3 times the spectral resolution of lithium fluoride at the same quantity. HOPG plates come in various shapes, including flat, single-bent, and double-bent.
